actually we try have a seamless upgrade from any old version
to avoid intermediate steps.

However, it seems a problem occurs for the version jump you try.
Maybe it is a bug.

OpenVAS-5 is retired, so actually there is no support anymore for it.

If your old database is really important for you, there are surely some
tricks possible to get the migration working.
