Just tried to install openvas on a clean new install of Debian 7.8 As a VMware server . SSH is the only server option running.
Followed the exact steps as listed here for debian: http://www.openvas.org/install-packages-v6.html#openvas_debian_obs I'm installing remotely (over an ssh connection), not on a local device, when I go to: https://serveripaddress:9392 There's nothing there. Using Zenmap port scan finds no open ports at 9392. I tried downloading and running the openvas-check-setup, however when executed it returns: ./openvas-check-setup root@myserver:/home/myname# bash: ./openvas-check-setup: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory Looking at the /var/log/openvas/openvasmd.log file only shows: md main:WARNING:2015-03-09 18h34.17 utc:14290: sql_x: sqlite3_prepare failed: no such table: main.meta GLib:WARNING:2015-03-09 18h34.34 utc:14290: g_strcompress: trailing \ What did I miss? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brian
