Hello,

In newer versions of openvas-scapdata-sync there should be a SPLIT_PART_SIZE variable you can also try changing the value of to reduce the memory usage. Something around the size of the largest file the script can handle before failing (in kB) should be a good start.

You need to have Python installed for this to work and depending on the version of the build files used you may also have to manually copy the script xml_split from /tools/extra in the OpenVAS-Manager sources to /share/openvas/scap/.

Best regards

    Hi guys,

just wanted to drop a few lines, in case someone wants to have a
look. Brand new vps, nothing else running.

    *Step 1: Configure Atomicorp Repository*
    (as user root, only once)

    wget -q -O -http://www.atomicorp.com/installers/atomic |sh

    *Step 2: Quick-Install OpenVAS*
    (as user root, only once)

    yum upgrade
    yum install openvas
    openvas-setup

Last step fails on CentOS 7x64, 2GB Ram, 1.8GHz Xeon E5-2650L

    Cheers,
    Johannes
