The only thing I see in /var/log/messages is:
# grep -i dead /var/log/messages
Jun 15 11:23:00 openv kernel: io scheduler deadline registered
Other than the redis server, is there another database / file that the results are written to or any place else I can look for the results of the scan? I don't think the problem is with the redis server (or the scanning itself) - it seems to be unable to create (or save) the reports. Is there an RPM that is needed for report generation? I saw notes about RPMs needed for specific report types, but I'm just trying to get a basic text/CSV/HTML report at this point...I'm also not seeing anything populate in the GSA Asset Management -> Hosts or Scan Management -> Reports/Results pages.
I'm of the opinion that the openvas-manager can talk to the opevas-scanner and the scanner can process the request, but when it tries to hand the results back to the openvas-manager it gets dropped somehow / somewhere.

Maybe the scanner was not able to detect the target as up
(grep -i dead /var/log/messages). If so try another
"Alive Test" when creating a target.
