Thanks Paul!
That will be the only use of this box, to do internal OpenVas scanning.
What version of CentOS did you use? I had a CentOS box built once upon a time,
but it was several years back.

Having just gone through this with the help of this fine group and my hero
Eero, if the primary purpose of your Linux box is OpenVAS scanning, it is much
better to go with OpenVAS on CentOS, it is far more up-to-date, far easier to
use and has far fewer bugs. For some reason the Kali people don’t seem to want
to update OpenVAS although after submitted a ticket they did update it after a
week, the updates will be coming out in Kali 2015.3.

Subject: [Openvas-discuss] Certificate length

I am rebuilding my Kali box. I’m about to install OpenVas on it.

When the OpenVas setup is run on Kali, it creates the cert that is required.
The default length of the cert is 1 year. Is there a way to make it longer?
Like 3 years? Any way to have it ask for the info (country code, organization,
etc.) instead of it filling it in automatically?
