The sad fact is that the current state of LaTex on Cent/RHEL 7 is only
describable as broken. This is a constant thorn in my side as well, to the
point that I still suggest people use CentOS 6.7 instead. It is fully
maintained, and isn't broken by poor LaTex packages, oddly named network
adaptors, and other madness.
