I have a question about the output of the openvas scan log file. I changed the /etc/openvassd.conf file and the log_whole_attack entry from “log_whole_attack = no" to "log_whole_attack = yes” After restarting the openvas services I ran a scan of a server. I have copied a sample from the log output below:
[Fri Mar 18 18:57:53 2016][6396] internal_send->os_recv(8): Success [Fri Mar 18 18:57:55 2016][6458] [6458](/var/lib/openvas/plugins/gb_symphony_cms_detect.nasl:0) Negative index ! [Fri Mar 18 18:58:58 2016][6566] [6566](/var/lib/openvas/plugins/gb_gogs_detect.nasl:0) Negative index ! [Fri Mar 18 18:59:08 2016][6577] internal_send->os_recv(8): Success [Fri Mar 18 18:59:22 2016][6606] [6606](/var/lib/openvas/plugins/phpinfo.nasl:0) Negative index ! My question is; I have “Negative index !” after every plugin. What does this mean? The scan picked up “Check for SSL Weak Ciphers” along with 25 other Log level items. So it seems that the scanner is working. Thanks in advance, Brad
