Dear OpenVAS Team,

I have tried to locate the file openvas-manager.extra but could not able
to find it at /etc/default.

Do I need to create a new one?

I have also tried #openvasmd --max-ips-per-target=65535.

But I am unable to create target of /16 CIDR.

Could you please guide here. Does editing the above requires any
restarting of the services as well?
I am new to OpenVAS and to Linux environment as well.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks & Regards
Girish

Dear Girish,

yes no problem.
Do as following:

Open the file "vim /etc/default/openvas-manager.extra" in your favorite
editor, and add or change the following entry:

EXTRA_DAEMON_ARGS="--max-ips-per-target=65535"

--max-ips-per-target: <Here you define the max number>

Hope this helps! Cheers,
Michael (Eissele).
