Hello, I've recently deployed the demo image of OpenVAS 8 (from http://www.openvas.org/vm.html)
I had no trouble logging in the web interface once the installation was done, however when trying to start a basic scan I always get the error Operation: Start Task Status code: 503 Status message: Service temporarily down So I searched a bit and found that it might be related to certificate validity, and I had to use openvas-mkcert -f openvas-mkcert-client -i -n restart all daemons. (in place of restarting the daemons I rebooted the VM) But I still had the same error, so I searched even more, and found that I had to follow the instructions "Updating Scanner Certificates" from the page https://svn.wald.intevation.org/svn/openvas/trunk/openvas-manager/INSTALL So I did, but to no avail, I still get the error 503. In the logs, I see the error messages "Authentication configuration not found" "Failed to shake hands with peer: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated" "Failed to shutdown server socket" "Failed to bind manager socket: Address already in use" Can someone please help me, I'd be really grateful, I'm kinda stuck because of this.
