We have been using OpenVAS for vulnerability scanning and we are using NVT auto update script [1] to update the NVT DB. Even after NVT get updated (when the Feed Version get increment) number of NVT in SecInfo Management -> SecInfo Dashboard in Greenbone UI does not changed. It changed only after openvasmd --rebuild command executed. Do we need to run openvasmd --rebuild every time when the new NVT feeds synced ? What is the correct way (steps) to get the NVT updated and apply them to the openvas scanner ?
