I did a "shutdown -r" on my openvas server (Kali) and now when I run openvas-check-setup it hangs after displaying "OK:OpenVAS Manager database contains about 47590 NVTs". The openvas-check-setup has always worked in the past - this is the first time it has failed. The openvas system appears to be working - both web UI and scanner seem to function in spite of the failure of openvas-check-setup.
I did the reboot because several openvasmd processes were running at 100% of a CPU each, and this seemed wrong. There were no scans in progress.
