I figured out I am receiving the same Schannel errors when I try to scan my against my Win 7 box as referenced in the following link:
https://community.tenable.com/message/24142#24142 Once the windows system detects these cipher errors it drops the connection with the OpenVAS scanner. Are the modification referenced in the link possible on OpenVAS?
