HI, As a test, I ran a scan against the Metasploitable 2 VM with OpenVAS. It found nothing. I used the Wizard, since this was my initial test scan, just gave the IP address the Metasploitable has,10.0.2.4, and asked for a "Full and very deep” scan, with OpenVAS Default scanner. It was over in 2 minutes and 57 seconds, and it found nothing.
What is wrong here? I ran a scan with Nexpose and it found more than 300 vulnerabilities. I ran the check setup script and it did not report any problems. Can anyone tell me what I am missing or what can be wrong with the OpenVAS 9 installation?
