Does Openvas know when a patch has been superseded and look for the installation of the new patch instead of the old one?
For example, if I scan a machine that has the March 2017 security cumulative rollup, it's reporting the machine has the SMB vulnerability that was fixed with MS17-010 even though the March rollup includes the MS17-010 patch. So I assume the report is a false positive. If it's not smart enough to detect that, is there a way to update the NVT to look for the cumulative update instead? If so, where do I find instructions on how to do that?
