Hi,

I am just dropping a note to confirm that patching the current version works perfectly
without upgrading, as "cfi" suggested in the openvas chat.

https://github.com/greenbone/gsa/pull/228/files#diff-f8178adcbedbf50ae6482a6defa63f96

My omp.xsl however was located in:

/usr/share/openvas/gsa/classic/

Thanks!

Hello,

is there any further suggestion in regard to update OpenVAS from 6.0.11 to a
newer release on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS to fix the Schedule issue?

Hi, thanks for your response. In relation to your questions:
- what distribution
uname -a
Linux 4.4.0-96-generic #119-Ubuntu SMP Tue Sep 12 14:59:54 UTC 2017 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial
?
- how is the stuff installed now
To install OpenVAS I followed this guide:
https://www.vultr.com/docs/how-to-install-openvas-vulnerability-scanner-on-ubuntu-16-04
I was wondering if there is a bit more detailed guide (like the one in the link
above) to upgrade openvas? I would not know where to put those packages. Sorry
for the basic questions but I am new to openvas and is the first time I try to
upgrade.
Thanks
?

I noticed that due to a bug I cannot schedule new scans in 2018 and this is
apparently being fixed in a new release.
How can I upgrade my openvas to a newer version, possibly the latest, or at
least one that will allow me to run a new schedule?
Thanks
