Thank you for your reply. Could you please elaborate on your statement
"It's not so easy to do
 *active* scanning of such devices", with a few reasons to why this is
so. I'm not familiar with Android vulnerability scanning and I would
very much appreciate your feedback.

BTW, would it be easier to do active scanning of Android devices if
OpenVAS would connect to such a device using ADB via TCP or USB?

 We don't support Android Devices at the moment. It's not so easy to do
 *active* scanning of such devices.
