Tested-by: Antonio Quartulli <a...@unstable.cc> The test consisted in configuring a server and a client with certificates signed with SHA1. With the default settings, the client was able to connect to the server. When setting the cert profile to "preferred" on either one, the latter complained about unacceptable signature. This proved that the patch is working as expected. To note: the server and the clients both start even though they are using a certificate that is signed with a non-acceptable signature (for their profile). mbedTLS could be improved to reject a certificate when signed with an algorithm that is not part of the allowed profile.
