*Windows* doesn't have *tun* adapters.

This is why we have the net30 madness in the first place, for Windows, 
this is always a "multiaccess ethernet", so it needs to have MAC headers,
a proper "subnet", etc.

Everything else has tun as "this is a virtual point-to-point thing, so a
netmask is not exactly useful, as there is only one other host on this
anyway".
