Hi, Thanks for testing!
>> Basically, for my W7 64b machine .. >> the right arch (64b) installled as expected, with UAC prompts >> GUI did *not* request elevation when started by normal user This matches the behavior I observed today with my Windows Server 2012 r2 64-bit VM. It would be nicer if OpenVPN-GUI would refuse to launch if the user lacked admin privileges, though. >> the wrong arch (32b) did *not* function as expected. >> (or did .. depending on how you look at it) This is interesting. I probably have to test this myself and see how it goes. I have not actively tested 32-bit executables on 64-bit Windows, yet there have been no complaints as far as I can remember. So they tend to just work. -- Samuli Seppänen Community Manager OpenVPN Technologies, Inc irc freenode net: mattock ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Openvpn-users mailing list Openvpn-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openvpn-users
