Well, "look inside" - run
tar tvfj image-native/whateveritiscalled.bin.tar.bz2
I have no idea, but I assume it's what would be installed by "make install",
tar'ed up so you can copy the result over to the target system, and extract
it there - as Samuli explained, this stuff is not really intended for
local builds but for cross-builds ("I'm on Linux/i386 and I need a binary
to run on my NetBSD/arm router").

Well, Samuli tried to guess what you are trying to *achieve*, and if
the tool you use for that is just the wrong one, following down that
road is not the most effective use of your and his life time, no?
