I am regularly updating/upgrading my Linux computers including the RPi:s using
apt, but I usually do not reboot them afterwards...

On Ubuntu I get a message on logon with PuTTY that states if there is a need to
reboot the computer, not so with Raspbian Buster (or PiOS as it is named
nowadays)...

But you were right! A reboot fixed the problem, so apparently it was needed
unbeknownst to me.

Thanks for the suggestion!
