Uff, it seems a little bit complex via maven.

Mark, could we do the release process together?

As you know, we got a *distribution* project that contains some assembly
definitions. Do I put the *releases* related configuration into distribution
project main pom(*distribution/pom*)? Also there is a release profile in the
trunk/pom file. Currently do we use it? I am a bit of confused here.

Thanks;

/Gurkan

Gurkan, please look at the release:stage documentation:

http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-release-plugin/stage-mojo.html

You may also look at the maven and geronimos release processes:
http://maven.apache.org/developers/release/releasing.html
http://cwiki.apache.org/GMOxPMGT/geronimo-release-process.html

LieGrue,
strub
