Yes, I've thought about it!

Customizing my web service to execute another process which can
compensate previous work via RMI or REST.

All I need to do is get all of the parameters from the main process.

I just think about which method is better!
Call a custom function? or call custom web service?
Maybe the first choice need to cost more effort!
