Maybe we need to define an interface in ruote 2.0 for listeners. Not thinking classical interface, more different JSON formats for replies (sorted), launch items, cancel/kill items. This paves the way for other listener/participant pairs to be easily written as well. I want to revive the XMPP pair again for 2.0 as well, I'm sure we'll have people who'd prefer to use that over AMQP. An HTTP listener (like in ruote-kit as an example) would also benefit from this.
