Good day all

Just some updates on ruote-kit & ruote-kit-client for your perusal.

I added a Gemfile to ruote-kit, for use with bundler [1], to simplify the
dependencies required by the project. This might not go down well with
everyone, but from personal experience the 'vendor everything' approach
really works well to eliminate surprises with incompatible gem versions.
That aside, ruote-kit bundles a ruote 2.0 gem from the ruote-kit branch in
my fork of ruote [2]. This branch is rebased on ruote 2.0 almost daily and
at the moment has no differences. However, as I continue chipping away at
ruote-kit I do need additional functionality from the built-in participants
and I make those changes there while John reviews them for inclusion in the
mainline repo. Git rocks like that and makes this whole process much
simpler.

A big thanks goes out to Torsten Schönebaum [3] for all his help with
ruote-kit-client [4]. ruote-kit-client basically mirrors the functionality
of ruote-kit at present and we'll be sure to stay on that track as we move
forward.

I know there are some issues with Windows atm and I'll only be able to fully
investigate them in the new year (deadlines, holidays).

It has been great to see people watch the project and get involved in one
way or another. I'm looking forward to seeing adoption grow, and especially
looking forward to all the planned migrations from 0.9 to 2.X in the new
year.

Merry Christmas if we don't speak again until then, and a happy new year !

Best
