still hoping for this saga to come to an end. I noticed in the warbler
changelog that there was a "careless error" with jruby 1.4
compatibility which has since been addressed. Using warbler 1.0.2 I'm
no longer getting the 500 error with 1.8.7-p249.

John, if you wouldn't mind updating your warbler and retrying to see
if you can make sense of the original issue (Apr 23 post), I'd really
appreciate it.

Incidentally, I love rvm. At the very least, this whole process has
introduced me to rvm.
