Hello Tom, why are you using the "resume" call here ? It's supposed to be used in conjunction with "pause". It has nothing to do with proceeding after a participant received a workitem. If your participant is a Ruote::StorageParticipant (the default with ruote-kit) then the right thing to do is to call #proceed(workitem) on the storage participant.
