understood. Maybe you could combine the your current approach with my last 
proposition. The in-memory hash could be created by scanning the workitems when 
ruote starts up.

So all the process data will stay in-memory, you could even use the search 
approach, it would be fast anyway.

If you can afford to lose all the data, why not ?
