Yes, because of Bundler. No, unfortunately not. Your issue with Bundler not finding the "git gems", although bundled, isn't far from obvious for me. I'd like to be able to help you find the real cause of the problem. As far as I could see, you were using a system wide ruby installation – perhaps bundler had troubles with that. But that's a wild guess and I don't really believe in it.
