Hello, I'm preparing ruote-amqp 2.3.0 for release. I will not include the above commit. The reason is simple: There is no AMQP.start anywhere in ruote-amqp 2.3.0's code. I think it's best left to integrators (like you). I will try to port that to 2.3.0 in the form of the README note on AMQP tuning (I'll have to dig into ruby-amqp doc).
