I'm sorry, but I didn't write that line of code, I don't have access to that
code, I see no mention of ruote in your backtrace, I'm in Asia and you
are in Africa, how can I help you ???

I can only guess that ruote is using some kind of HTTPclient participant to
trigger some account creation via a Rails application based on devise/mongoid
and that's failing for some reason. But that's only a guess.

Could you please ask for help to the person who wrote the application in the
first place?
Could you please try to figure out why your devise/mongoid web service gets
into a deadlock (your could try triggering the creation via Curl or some
other HTTP client).
