Hi John (& al) I am pleased (and proud) to announce that we at OrganisedMinds have successfully taken Ruote into production.
For now we manage the following things with Ruote: * user life-cycles (send confirm mail, welcome mail, can-we-help mails (1, 2 & 3), reminder mails, etc. etc.) * billing processes (start recurring billing cycle, generate invoice, etc) In other words; Pure back-office stuff that the user knows nothing about. But is our intent to integrate Ruote into the front-end of OrganisedMinds to help the user with recurring tasks. And (even more fun) to automate activity movement between stacks and workspaces. As I write this, 3895 processes are being looked after by a single worker, all of which are in some storage/wait-state. The only problem I've had so far was that the worker consumed to much mysql connections in the pool. We use ruote-mon for storage; but as our participants are tied with rails/active-record we had to start rescuing from ActiveRecord::ConnectionTimeoutError - but no harm done there.
