Many students are interested in applying to an idea that is focused on
django (django-radius) but I fear there may be too many students are
competing on a single idea which may not even be what they really like.

In order to give more options to the students that want to participate with
us I added a new idea in extremis: OpenWISP 2 Network Topology
<http://openwisp.org/gsoc/ideas-2017.html#network-topology>.

I don't know why I didn't think of this idea earlier, I'm really sorry.
This would be a fantastic addition to OpenWISP and most of the hard work
has been done in the previous years by many people in several communities
(Ninux and NetJSON) which are friends of OpenWISP. The idea consists in
using the work done in the previous years by me and other people, integrate
it in openwisp2, fix existing issues and add new awesome features.

To have more chances of being accepted I suggest to those of you that are
interested in working on a django project to apply to more than one idea (2
applications should be good).

Register in the GSOC system <https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/> and
start writing a draft proposal asap. Time is running out.
Also, if you haven't read it already, read my suggestions for potential
gsoc students

another thread.
