The log is telling you that it can't talk to the right end point. It seems like nginx is redirecting requests: this usually happens when someone tries to access the controller via unencrypted HTTP instead of HTTPS.
Could you reply to the following questions please: What's the URL you set in /etc/config/openwisp? How did you install the controller? What's the URL you use to enter the admin interface?
