Great, go ahead on wireless settings and encryption and keep us up to date.
Regarding Debian, it could surely turn out useful in the future, I think it will depend on the number of contributors your future will attract. The number of contributors of a project in my experience depends on these factors in order of priority: 1. the code works as documented and delivers its promises 2. other coders can understand and tweak the code 3. credibility and reputation of the community (an established name attracts more users contributors) Federico On Fri, Jun 23, 2017 at 10:12 PM Ritwick D'Souza <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello everyone, > > So far this week has been the most challenging, most of the time was spent > on hardware testing on RPi. > The problem that i faced during testing was lack of good documentation for > `/etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf`, had to look around a lot into various > forums, websites, etc to understand what every statements does and how > various configurations could be generated for different netjson configs. > I initially started using `isc-dhcp-server` for turning the RPi into a > dhcp server and faced lot of issues with that, but moving to 'dnsmasq` > surely helped > and solved those issues. > hostapd also requires all the radio settings in order to create the final > `hostapd.conf` configuration.
