No I haven't noticed any side effect so far, I haven't had any problem even 
if a device gets rebooted too often due to some voltage fluctuation at 
times. Maybe thats even beneficial if you consider that memory corruption 
can happen during reboots in this cases resulting on misconfiguration but I 
have no proof of that other than that I have not experienced any event like 
that.

The only thing I notice is that the "modified" colum is sort of innacurate 
in its meaning but that's not a problem at all.
