I'm Charlton and participating in the Google Code-In 2017. I'm currently more interested in and learning coding algorithms e.g. graph theory, dynamic programming, etc. in C++ but this language isn't really used by OpenWISP sadly. I've also learnt Python, including how to do machine learning and data analysis, though I'm not too confident in my programming abilities. I can do more admin or basic tasks, though, I'm still quite new to the open-source world. What attracted me to OpenWISP was the values and goals of OpenWISP. For example, I, too, feel that the the problem net neutrality is facing currently needs to be solved and net neutrality should be better enforced, giving no special privileges to any companies, thereby allowing smaller start-ups to grow. I also feel strongly for privacy in our current society, unlike companies which track all your information and sell it to other companies without our permission. I think OpenWISP would be the best way for me to try and contribute and build towards my own beliefs as well as help me learn more about the open-source world. Thank you!
