Hello,

The Broadcom driver you are using and willing to understand is a closed source
driver, which means that only relocatable binary objects are available (the
dot o files). The open source driver is only available for 2.6 kernels and is
in the official Linux sources at :
linux-2.6.21.1/drivers/net/wireless/bcm43xx/

Since this driver is closed source, we do not know in detail where the MAC
management is done.

Please, do not spam the list if you don't get an answer within a day, we are
all pretty busy and do not answer immediately.

Best regards, Florian
