Thanks Ryan! Florian, the patch to check for absent PHYs doesn't appear to work on the NAS200: I patched it into my kernel (which has R6040 compiled in, i.e. not as module) and it hangs the box during boot after it gives the message twice (probably once for each MAC?).
I'll investigate further... ===Jac --- On Tue, 5/26/09, Ryan Press <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Ryan Press <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] DIR-450 target, different etc/config/network file > To: "OpenWrt Development List" <[email protected]> > Date: Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 11:22 PM > Hi Jac, > > On Mon, May 25, 2009 2:24 pm, Jac Goudsmit wrote: > > So to me it makes sense to make the NAS200 into a > subtarget as well, > > which may share a lot of files with other RDC targets; > however I wouldn't > > want to touch anything that I'm not working on myself > because there's no > > way for me to test any changes to (let's say) the > DIR-450 target: I don't > > have that hardware available to me. > > Yes that was my thought as well.
