Actually I didn't compile 2.4, I just tried the binary from the site. I have no idea what kind of driver is there. Nevertheless I can't use 2.4 kernel because openl2tp doesn’t compile for it because of kernel-mode implementation of pppol2tp doesn't exist for kernel 2.4 and openl2tp-1.6 which I use.
