Thx for the hint,
I looked in the wrong place (i.e. not in the dhcp section). Added the
required options for all interfaces and now it works as expected.

Hmm, what about "option dhcp_option ..." in the per-interface sections?
Iirc they do exactly the same - aren't they sufficient for your purpose?
