You need to use kernel 2.6.
Enable
menuconfig->Global build settings->Compile the kernel with profiling enabled
then enable
menuconfig->Development->oprofile
Don't forget to recompile the kernel.

I don't quite understant that but there's no opcontrol related programs
after the system is running.

$ ./scripts/feeds install -d y oprofile
