Hi to all. This is my first post on the mailing under suggestion of blogic.

I'm porting a (private) OWRT 9 firmware for the wode board to Backfire. Does
someone knows ? It's a very popular board for wii based on OWRT Linux kernel
2.6.29 Ok, As soon as possible I'll release a Backfire wode target version
named "OpenWode" to the community. After a series of test and check I decided
for a two-step strategy:

1) Port the target from kamikaze to backfire, maintaining the old kernel 2.6.29
2) Patch and correct the target with a new release based on the new kernel
2.6.32

I will ask is this is a good strategy and if Backfire can work with 2.6.29
kernel. I already tried to prot all toghether and already corrected the specifc
platform patches to work fine with the et kernel (2.6.32) but there are some
kernel differences in functions that need to be patched, so I think that doing
all-in-one the risk is that I can't test anything on the hardware before a lot
of changes.

many thanks to all. Enrico
