Hi Bastian, Just for the record, had the same issue with madwifi a month ago. In my case, there was even some rogue/broken other wifi device which was sending probe requests every 5ms, resulting in a congested medium due to my 4 devices in adhoc mode trying to answer them all. A workaround for me so far was the madwifi specific "option probereq 0" (which of course does not work for ath9k according to the wiki docs and is just a workaround anyway).
