Hello OpenWrt developers, In what some would class as an emergency, we need to replace AirOS at a given IP address _over the air_ with a functional OpenWrt at the same IP/subnet/gateway so that it is reachable for configuration purposes. (read: the APs are attached to MikroTik routers and RouterOS doesn't support the telnet command, just the mac-telnet command, else we'd just alias the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet to the appropriate interface).
We hesitate to try to make 192.168.1.0/24 route across the network for reasons I won't go into :( What is the bullet proof way to accomplish this objective if one is sort of used to making images? IOW, what are the necessary and sufficient files to edit prior to building the image? 'grep -ir 192.168.1.1 *' produces a lot of hits ... This will save us a lot of driving around rural north Texas and we surely appreciate the community's input. THANKS/ldv -- Larry Vaden, CoFounder Internet Texoma, Inc.
