ubifs makes a lot of sense for devices with NAND flash such as SheevaPlug. Getting this done with OpenWrt required some fixes here and there.
As ubifs requires some of mtd-utils to be installed on the target, maybe mtd-utils should be a single package for both host and target (similar to the way it is done for the lua package)? However, for now I kept them separate, obviously creating some degree of redundancy in the patches for both of them.
