So if you install the iwinfo cli frontend and run "iwinfo wl0 info", does it
output anything useful, does it identify the hw as "type wl" ?

Is "LoadPlugin iwinfo" in the enerated collectd.conf ?
Is "killall -9 collectd; collectd -f" reporting any errors ?
Are there iwinfo *.rrd files generated in /tmp/$hostname/ ?
