Dear openwrt-devel readers, initial support for lantiq asterisk channel driver has been added to OpenWrt in svn commit r32047.
After John pushed owsip [1] we had a working SIP client for lantiq based boards in trunk. Even while developing owsip we knew that some time in the future we should switch to asterisk. The main features in asterisk work - you can make and receive phone calls. There are still issues that need to be fixed and features to be added, but we have decided to merge with OpenWrt anyway.
