I know, the stupid "fwz" format. That's why i've written on the
wiki[1] that one should upgrade d-link firmware to a recent version
first. I think a user willing to use OpenWrt should not have any
problems upgrading to a newer OEM version first.

And this procedure i've tested myself, i can confirm that this way i
can flash OpenWrt without access to the serial.
