Hello. I have tried compiling OpenWRT on FreeBSD (which I use) and have come accross several problems. the most severe issue is that compile breaks when it reaches e2fsprogs. That specific software is available in the ports tree on FreeBSD and I have it installed through there without any problems.
Considering the above, I have concluded that while OpenWRT's toolchain compile process needs to prepare e2fsprogs for the different chipset than host chipset (amd64) the makefile has not been modified to accommodate the FreeBSD code. I have noticed on the "buildroot" page that OpenWRT is trying to integrate the build process to NetBSD. I would be willing to guess that folks at FreeBSD would be equally interested and that the problems I have described for the build process in this forum thread will most likely hold true for NetBSD also: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=42036 _______________________________________________ openwrt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openwrt.org/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-devel
